Looking for a great UK business or marketing event to attend? Well, I love going to in-person events and 2024 was the year I properly got back out and about to business and marketing events across England. In this review I’m sharing 5 events I went to this year, what I did and didn’t like about them, and whether I would go again! 2024 REVIEW OF THE UK BUSINESS AND MARKETING EVENTS I ATTENDED
IGNITED WOMAN EXPERIENCE – BY LAURA BRUNTON
My experience
This was the first event by Laura Brunton however having met Laura at another event I had no doubt in terms of energy that Laura would deliver and she absolutely did.
The Ignited Woman Experience happened at the AllBright Member’s Club in Mayfair, London. The space was absolutely gorgeous and it was a fairly intimate event with around 40-50 women attending.
Laura led us through her signature ‘The Ignited Blueprint’ and there was also time for networking, an opportunity to get a headshot and then a drinks reception at the end.
Will I go again? I absolutely would go to another one of Laura Brunton’s events. From the moment I met Laura I knew she was my type of person energy wise, and I would gladly spend more days at Laura’s upcoming events. DIGITAL WOMEN LIVE CONFERENCE – BY DIGITAL WOMEN
My experience
I had been to a number of Digital Women Awards in the past, but this was the first time I had attended the Digital Women Live Conference. It took place in Birmingham and the Millennium Point, and the format was lots of presentations by other Digital Women members. It was a jam-packed day with presentations on AI, Google Analytics, Canva, Analysing Data and more.
Will I go again?
I would go again, and have already got my ticket for 2024, but it is important to disclose I am a member. If I wasn’t a member and didn’t know any of the people in the room then the likelihood of me returning would be less.

ATOMICON 2024 – BY ANDREW AND PETE
My experience
This was my second time going to Atomicon. In 2023 I had an amazing time and bought my ticket there and then. This year the shine wore off slightly. Maybe it was because it was my second year. Maybe it was because the weather wasn’t as great. Maybe it was because some of the speakers were the same.
But that doesn’t mean I didn’t still have a great time. The format of having the pre-meetups and welcome party the day before meant I had plenty of time to network, and get drenched, before the conference had even begun.
The day was jam-packed with my highlights being the talks by Keenya Kelly and Dani Wallace (both who I had never seen before). I go into more detail about my experience at Atomicon 2024 here.
Will I go again?
Absolutely! I’ve already booked my tickets for 2025!

DIGITAL WOMEN AWARDS AND CONFERENCE
I went to the Digital Women Awards in 2020 and 2022 and now 2024. Each time it has been at a different venue and a different format. Rather than just having the awards this year the idea was to also have a conference. I really like this change as it means even if you aren’t up for an award there is value in you attending. And you have the opportunity to learn as well as possibly win an award.
I was fortunate enough to end up on a lovely table with very supportive, and winning, women, which made the experience even more memorable. The morning was focused on the conference with a number of talks – my favourite being Dani Wallace. Then after a lovely lunch we had the awards where I received Highly Commended for Content Marketer of the Year and Digital Creator of the Year.
Will I go again? Previously I have gone to the Digital Women Awards every other year and with this format change I feel it is more likely I’ll return in 2025.

2025 VISIONARY CEO PLANNING DAY
My final event of 2025 was very special as it was my event – and my very first one. Given how many events I go to for a while it has been an ambition of mine to expand my online business, and start running in-person events to, and I was so excited to start that journey this year.
The 2025 Visionary CEO Planning Day was an intimate group planning day so that business owners could think big and then plan for 2025.
Will I go again?
