INSIDE ‘SUCCESS HABITS’
Each chapter of the book was originally a radio program. It was designed as a series and as such at the beginning and the end of a chapter Napoleon will often refer to what was discussed in the last chapter or share what you can expect in the next chapter.
From looking at the content above you can get a good idea of some of the habits that are discussed in the book. All of Napoleon’s recommendations are based on the research he undertook on behalf of Andrew Carnegie. Therefore, when discussing the habits he will refer to how they have worked for himself, but also how they worked for some of the other people he came to know through his research.
QUOTES FROM ‘SUCCESS HABITS’
Here are a few quotes that I loved from the book
“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe the mind can achieve”
“Everything has a price. If you want to be great in anything you must make your mind that it has a price. You must find out what that price is and be willing to pay it.”
“If you’re going to succeed in life, you’ve got to have a major goal, an overall objective, an overall purpose.”
FINAL THOUGHTS FROM CHARELLE
I had never heard of the Success Habits and it was only whilst living with my best friend in lockdown that she said “I think I have book you might enjoy reading” and when I spotted the author was Napoleon Hill I thought it would be worth having a read whilst I had access to a copy of the book.
I have previously read Think and Grow Rich (you can check out my review here) and since the talks that have been transcribed for this book were given after Think and Grow Rich was written there are areas of overlap.
However, I still enjoyed reading the book. Compared to Think and Grow Rich it is a much easier read and since I hadn’t read Think and Grow Rich for a while it was nice to be reminded about the key concepts Napoleon Hill believes lead to great wealth, health and happiness.
WHO WOULD I RECOMMEND READS SUCCESS HABITS BY NAPOLEON HILL
Success Habits sits firmly in the world of personal development. If you are someone who is looking to develop yourself then you should definitely check it out. It would be a great introduction to Napoleon Hill. Whilst I still would recommend reading Think and Grow Rich over Success Habits there is no doubt that this is an easier way to get introduced to some of the Napoleon Hill concepts.
