WHAT IS A SIGNATURE OFFER? AND WHY HAVING ONE WILL MAKE GROWING YOUR BUSINESS EASIER.
What is a signature offer?
A signature offer is where you sell something in your business, whether that be a done-for-you service, a course or a group programme, which is usually based around a framework, process or methodology that you created – and your business becomes known for it.
What are some examples of signature offers?
Once you start looking for signature offers you’ll see them in businesses all around you, but here are some examples.
Denise Duffield-Thomas’ Money Bootcamp
Denise Duffield-Thomas started Money Bootcamp back in 2012, I joined in 2017 and it is still running as I write this blog post in 2024. Money Bootcamp is self-study course and it is the primary thing that Denise sells in her business. Yes she also has a Sacred Money Archetype’s course and she runs retreats at her rose farm in Australia. But Money Bootcamp is her signature course. It is what she is known for.
My Annual Planning Strategy Days
A lot of examples of signature offers will be courses and group programmes, but even if you want to work one-to-one with clients you can still have a signature service. For the last few years in my business my signature service has been my annual planning strategy days. I have a 5-step planning process that means in just one day I can help business owners put together a plan for the next 12 months. This process works for a wide range of businesses and because I have a 5-step planning process it means even though I work one-to-one I’ve been able to streamline my onboarding and delivery.
LIKE THE SOUND OF HAVING A PLAN FOR THE NEXT 12 MONTHS?
In my Annual Planning Strategy Day I’ll ensure you have clear goals for the next 12 months and then have the right offer suite, pricing and marketing strategy to get smash those goals. By the end of the day you’ll have complete confidence with the your offer suite, your ability to sell them and that you’ll smash your financial goals. Why having a signature offer will make running or growing your business easier
Reason 1: Streamline what you deliver
The first reason why having a signature offer will make running, and growing, your business easier is the fact it will simplify what you deliver.
This is especially important for one-to-one service providers who are offering bespoke services. If that is you then the likelihood is that whilst you might be doing similar work, that is within what you are capable of delivering, there is a wide range of deliverables. There is no doubt that that is not the simplest way to work with clients.
When you have a signature offer, even if it is a signature service that you are delivering one-to-one, it will still simplify what you deliver. You’ll be able to have standardised processes that will mean you can deliver your offer in the most efficient and effective way possible. Being able to work as efficiently and effectively as possible should free up more time for you to be able to work with more clients, which will help with increasing revenue and your business growth.
Reason 2: Simplify your marketing
Another reason why having a signature offer will make running your business easier is that you can streamline your marketing.
Firstly, if you have a signature offer it will make your messaging easier. Your signature offer will have a standardised transformation and your messaging will be around that.
Secondly, if right now you are selling multiple offers then your marketing is likely to be stretched. It might be that you selling one thing one day or one week, and then something else the next day or week after. Even just writing that is making me tired. By focusing the majority, or all, of your marketing to be around your signature offer you are able to be focused. You’ll have more time and energy to run marketing tests, see how they perform and optimise your marketing. You’ll also be a better place to be able to repurpose your content.
Thirdly, a signature offer is normally something that you’ll offer in your business for years. This means that you can spend time focusing on ways to market your signature offer, which once originally created or set up can run for months or even years. For example, you can focus on creating long-form content that is optimised for search (such as blog posts or YouTube videos) or you can set up automated email sequences that are triggered based on someone taking a specific action (such as downloading a lead magnet).
Reason 3: Reduce, or remove, the need for sales activities
If right now you are offering one-to-one bespoke services then it is likely you’ll be spending time on marketing your services and then have sales conversations (whether this be in the DMs, via email or on a sales call). A major reason for needed these sales conversations is because of the bespoke nature of what you are providing.
When you have a packaged offer, which is what your signature offer would be, there will be less of a need for people to ask questions. It will become possible for your marketing to generate sales (rather than just leads). You’ll be able to direct people to sales pages and have people sign up without you being involved at all (if that is what you want).
Reason 4: Can enable you to successfully scale
If you decide that your signature offer is going to be a group programme or course then your signature offer can play a vital role in enabling your business to successfully scale. I go into more detail about the difference between growing your business and scaling your business here.
But a key part of scaling your business as a coach or online service provider is by having a scalable offer, which your signature offer can be.
And whilst some people will add a scalable offer into an offer suite to give the business the opportunity to scale, if you decide to make your scalable offer your signature offer, which the majority of the focus being on that, then you are going to be able to easily scale your business.

Creating a signature offer, that is scalable, opens the doors for you to help more people, make a bigger impact and make more money. But just because you can doesn’t mean you will. In Fully Booked and Scaling I’ll ensure you successfully manage to introduce your new signature offer and sell everything your offer for maximum impact and revenue. Reason 5: Makes it easy for your to be remembered, recommended and referred
A key part of being successful in business is down to being remembered. People can’t buy from you if they don’t remember your business. And they also can’t recommend or refer you if they don’t remember your business. By having a signature offer, which is the core focus of your marketing, you will be building a connection between your business and your signature offer – and that will increase your chances of being remembered, recommended and referred.
That’s it! You now know what a signature offer is and why having one will make growing your business easier.
As mentioned at the beginning, having a signature offer can be a game changer for your business – both in terms of the ease of running your business and its ability to make more money. Hopefully by now you can see the advantages of having a signature offer and who knows maybe you’ll create one in the future.
