HOW TO REVISE YOUR BUSINESS’ OFFER SUITE FOR MORE IMPACT, INCOME AND ENJOYMENT

Step 1: Review your business’ current offer suite

The first thing you need to do is critically review your business’ offer suite. Given that the focus is on revising your business’ offer suite for more impact, income and enjoyment you want to be reviewing the offer suite across those three areas: impact, income and enjoyment.

Impact

  • As whole is your offer suite getting the ideal results and transformation you want for your customer and clients?
  • Are there any specific offerings within your offer suite that are doing extremely well or badly?

Income

  • What is the financial potential of your current offer suite? Compare that with what you are currently making?
  • Are you happy with the potential income? Are you happy with what you are currently making?

Enjoyment

  • Do you enjoy the clients / customers you are currently working with?
  • Do you enjoy the way you are working? Are there any offerings that you especially enjoy or dislike?

By looking at all three areas you should have an understanding about how you feel about the offer suite as a whole, as well as individual offers.

Step 2: Get clear on what you want in relation to impact, income and enjoyment.

At this point, you’ve got a good understanding of your business’ current position, but now it’s time to be brutally honest about what you really want.

Impact

  • What would be the dream results or transformation clients or customers would get from working with you?
  • Do you have a desire to impact a certain number of people, businesses etc?

Income

  • What income would you love to make in your business? You can set this on either a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.

Enjoyment

  • What do you think would bring you the most joy in your business?
  • What type of clients would you be working with?
  • What type of work would you be doing?

These questions should get you started, but feel free to keep on going. The clearer you are on what you would love from an impact, income and enjoyment perspective the better.

Step 3: Create a new offer suite

You know where you business is and you know where you want it to be. Now it is time to bridge that gap. When creating a new offer suite you’ll be likely doing a mixture of the following: retiring offers, adjusting current offers and / or introducing new offers.

Should you retire or adjust an offer?

If when doing the review there was an offer that wasn’t getting great results, wasn’t generating enough income (or didn’t have the potential to generate enough income) or that you weren’t enjoying delivering then you’ll need to make a choice about whether you retire or adjust that offer. In some cases adjustments can make a significant difference to the level of impact, income or enjoyment. But only you can make a decision about whether something should be retired or adjusted if it isn’t where you want it to be right now.

Introducing new offers

Once you’ve made a decision about all of the existing offers you might decided that you need to add a new offer into your business. This could be something that you think will help your clients or customers to get even better results, will bring in additional income for your business or that you’ll get great enjoyment from. When thinking about introducing a new offer you’ll want to think carefully about how this new offer will work alongside the rest of your offer suite, as well as how you’ll market that new offer.

Once you’ve decided that you will retire, adjust and / or introduce you’ll want to have your whole offer suite written down so you can view it at a glance. Does everything work together? Is it clear for potential clients or customers to be able to decide what would be right for them? Are you maximising the opportunity for people to work with you multiple times so they can get a bigger impact and you can maximise their lifetime value?

Step 4: Review, and revise, your pricing

What you are offering in your offer suite is the most important thing, but before you off and think you’re all done you need to review the pricing. If you’ve priced everything in isolation it might be that the prices made sense, but when they are compared alongside other offers in your offer suite they don’t make sense anymore. Whilst reviewing your pricing you can also use this opportunity to ensure that your income goals are achievable.

An important thing to consider whilst looking at your pricing is that pricing can be used to lead people. You as a business owner have the opportunity to use pricing to make something be more or less appealing, which will impact demand.

Step 5: Transitioning to the new offer suite

At this point, you’ve done all the revising, but you’ll need to transition to the new offer suite. Depending on the amount of change it might be that this happens very quickly or it takes some time. It might be you stop marketing certain offers, but you have to wait for current clients or customers to come to an end. You might decide to do a hard switch, or you might do it bit by bit.

One thing to make sure is that you ensure as you are changing your offer suite you update everything. Your website and social media profiles are a good place to start.

That’s it. You now know how to revise your business’ offer suite for impact, income and enjoyment.

As you’ve seen there are quite a few things to consider when revising your business’ offer suite, but it is so worth doing. Getting the right offer suite is so vital. As discussed it impacts the results your clients or customers get, the money you can make and your enjoyment in the business. So taking the time to get this right should be a priority.
