In Chapter 1: The Time is Right to Change Your Habits Dean sets the scene. He explains that “We are getting more done as a society yet income hasn’t reflected this output”. Gone are the days when getting things done will result in riches. Now it is vital that you embody these habits if you want to create wealth and success in your life.

Chapter 2: The Foundation for all Success focuses on having a clear vision and a why. Dean writes “It doesn’t matter how fast you can go, it doesn’t matter how much passion you have, and it doesn’t matter how much energy you put into something. If you don’t have a vision and clarity on the destination you want to reach, you’ll simply never get there”.

In Chapter 3: The Villain Within shares what he classes as the Villain and teaches you how to minimise the villain within. Dean emphasises the importance of focusing on what you are good at. He writes “If you want financial success, if you want to build real wealth, make it a habit to focus on the things you do well”.

Chapter 4: The Power of Your Story looks at the stories we tell ourselves. Dean wants you to identify the story that is holding you back and then to challenge that story and create a new one to live your life by. He writes “There is a story you must stop telling yourself, or a story you must adjust because it is preventing you from leading an optimal life in the areas that matter to you the most: Change your story, change your life”.

In Chapter 5: Awaken The Inner Hero Dean shares advice on awakening your inner hero. He believes that your “Inner hero represents your full potential, your best you”. We all have an Inner Hero and it is only by awakening it that you can be your best self.

Chapter 6: One Shining Goal explores the idea of focus. As you become more successful more opportunities will come your way and you have to be selective. Successful people know when to say no. Dean introduces the idea of a to-do list and a not-to-do list. He states that “A not-to-do list is probably more crucial to your success than a to-do list”.

Chapter 7: Attraction and Persuasion and Chapter 8: After the “Yes” are about sales, marketing and customer experience. Dean writes “attraction and persuasion are really just more elegant ways of saying marketing and sales”. He then goes on to share his advice on how to market and make sales. Then he focuses on the customer experience after the sale. For Dean, the focus isn’t on just making a sale just so you can make money. You should make a sale and then ensure the customer has a great experience afterwards.

In Chapter 9: The Power of Happiness, Dean talks about the relationship between money and happiness. Most people who are reading a book about becoming a millionaire partially believe that more money will make them happier. Dean wants to expose that myth and writes ”No amount of money will make you happy unless you find internal satisfaction” and he then goes on to share 10 happiness habits.

A book entitled Millionaire Success Habits would make most people think they are going to find out habits that people practice regularly for them to copy. Habits that require taking specific actions and that quickly be embraced. However, the majority of Dean’s habits focus more on your mental state or require some in-depth inner work. However, in Chapter 10: The Quick Hacks to Success Dean shares some of the easier things you can do to help excel your journey to success.

The original version of Millionaire Success Habit ended with Chapter 11: The Challenge and this is the point set a challenge for the reader to take everything he has learned and practice it over a 90-day sprint.

In the version of the book I was reading there were two additional chapters: Productivity and The Art of Achievement. In today’s world, there is a massive focus on productivity. There are so many ways to be distracted and never-ending to-do lists. However, Dean shares his top productivity tips to help you improve your productivity and achieve your ultimate goals.

FINAL THOUGHTS FROM CHARELLE

Overall, I really enjoyed reading Millionaire Success Habits. Having not heard of Dean Graziosi a few years ago he was now popping up everywhere I looked. I had listened to him speak on the Goaldigger Podcast by Jenna Kutcher (he is her coach) and then I had watched a webinar of him when he launched Mastermind with Tony Robbins and Russell Brunson. (It is no secret I love Russell Brunson. I love his podcast and his books DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets. I’m also a ClickFunnels affiliate).

Millionaire Success Habits kept on popping up on my social media feeds with his free book + shipping message, but I wasn’t sure. I knew Dean was a great marketer and thought the title was chosen specifically to hook people in.

I’m glad I finally got round to reading Millionaire Success Habits. Whilst there were a few too many stories, case studies etc for my liking, overall I found Dean writing style engaging and the tips useful.

Millionaires Success Habits reminded me of The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. When a book has habits in the title you think it is going to tell you actions to take. However, the habits were much more to do with the attitude and mindset. This is the same with Millionaire Success Habits.

WHO WOULD I RECOMMEND READS MILLIONAIRE SUCCESS HABITS BY DEAN GRAZIOSI

As the title suggests this book is designed for people who want to be a millionaire. However, this isn’t a ‘how to make money’ playbook. If that is what you are looking for then this isn’t the book for you. Instead, this is a book about becoming the best version of you. It is about doing the internal work, which will create the solid foundations that mean even if you lost all of your money you be able to rebuild your wealth.

This book isn’t for someone looking for a quick hack to become a millionaire. Instead, this book is for someone who is committed to building wealth and happy to improve themselves alongside improving their bank balance.
