Want to know what the key to scaling your business with confidence is? Many online…
Creating high-quality content is a time-consuming activity and with an ever-growing number of platforms for entrepreneurs to promote themselves, and their businesses, on content creation can be a full-time activity. However, I’m sure you started your own business to do great work and not to spend all day marketing it. Now if you already have a blog then it is likely you already have great high-quality content that is just sitting there waiting for you to repurpose. So keep reading to learn how to repurpose your blog content.
WHAT PLATFORMS ARE YOUR REPURPOSING FOR?
Below I am going to mention a number of ways you can repurpose your content, but before we get into it I want you to remember one thing – Just because you can repurpose content in a hundred doesn’t mean you should.
HOW TO REPURPOSE YOUR BLOG CONTENT FOR:
YOUTUBE
You could create a YouTube video on the same topic as your blog. YouTube is the second biggest search engine and since YouTube videos are pulled through during Google searches you are giving yourself twice the opportunity to rank.
Lots of people are hesitant when I mention YouTube because they think they have to be on camera, but you don’t. Although I would encourage you to get over your fear of being in front of the camera you can create videos that are animated, show slides or contain B-roll footage and your voice.
If you create blog posts that provide a solution to a specific problem then I would definitely recommend that you seriously consider using YouTube. YouTube has an audience full of people who go there specifically for help. Compared to your blog where you are constantly trying to drive people to your website, you have now put yourself in a place where millions (maybe even billions) of people are looking for help. And this happens 24/7 without you doing anything else.
PODCAST
You could turn the content from your blog post into a podcast episode? Podcasts listener figures are constantly on the rise and it gives you an opportunity to market your business to a different audience. There are some people who love consuming content via podcast and it is very likely they would never read your blog. Go through your blog post and write down the key points and then jump on the microphone.
You could send out an email to your mailing list talking about the same topic but from a more personal angle or maybe give a behind-the-scenes of what drove you to write the blog post and then direct people to read the full blog.
Pick a selection of one liners and then turn them into graphic designs (these can then be used on multiple platforms). Create a few Facebook posts: one that has the just the graphic one-liner, one that has a snippet of the blog post and then links to the blog post and one that has the graphic along with some copy and a link the blog post. You can post these on your personal profile, your business profile and into Facebook Groups.
You can also hop onto Facebook Live and make a short video that is on the same topic as the blog post. Direct people in the video to visit the post for more information.
Use the same graphics as in Facebook and share them with or without the link to the blog post. You can find short and snappy lines from your post to share.
Share the same graphic designs as Facebook and Twitter, but add some more detail into the caption. Jump onto Instagram Stories and make a short video talking about one point from the blog post.
You can create multiple pins for your blog post. One could be the title of the blog post and you could make another one which is more of an infographic.

I hope this post has inspired you to see all of the ways you can repurpose your blog content. Also, you don’t have to just repurpose your blog content at the time of publishing your blog. There is nothing stopping you going back through your blog archive and choosing old posts to repurpose. Remember no one knows your content as well as you do!
